Current progress

So far, I've developed a flowgraph which allows me to toggle a number of lights via the keyboard, which will be used to represent electricity usage in the final installation. I've also fixed my texture problem as well as discovering a way to use unwrap my sketchup models, paint directly on to this unwrapped texture, then automatically apply that texture to the correct position on the model. This means I can easily create multi-textured models without having to worry about positioning the texture manually or having the right size texture.

150 words:

While the majority of the installation is still theoretical, links to the Pachube sensore can already be realised. The main link is the use of electricity, the sensor monitors how much is being used, while the installation allows the user to change how much is being used, or more specifically, where it's being directed to. There will be a main power source which supplies a set amount of power, as the user activates and de-activates various parts of the installation, the amount of power each part receives will vary to keep the power usage balanced. So, if only one part is active, it will receive all the power, as represented by either a bar which varies in height or a dial. If all the parts are active, they will each receive an equal amount of power. This reflects the degree of balance inherent within the concept of Pure War, as well as the hunger for power, albeit often with no purpose, displayed by entities engaged in Pure War.
